Fourth Principle: Peers - Peter’s Story

It is not easy to resist the negative influences of your peers, but inner strength and self-confidence can help you stand firm, walk away, and resist doing something when you know better.

My name is Peter and this is my story.

My mother was a doctor and my Dad was a dentist so I came from a good home.  I had a younger brother and an old sister and we lived in a six bedroom house. Home was a lovely place, and we had everything we could need as children.

Even though my mum and dad were both in demanding jobs, at least one of them was always there when we came home from school.

We had lots of love in the house, but we also had lots of rules.  My dad used to be in the army and had developed a certain way he believed things should be done with no compromise, especially from his children. Sometimes our home was so regimented, especially when it came to our chores and household responsibilities.

The Hope Dealer says:

"It looks like Peter feels his family home is to strict, he hates doing the chores. I wonder who Peter meets that he feels does understand him? If you are interested in reading more about Peter's story, see below."
